Ambassador Choi attends the 2nd OECD-Korea Seminar on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises
The OECD, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Korea (MOEF), hosted the 2nd OECD-Korea Seminar on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) on the 31st of October at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris, France. The seminar was first launched in 2023 to introduce Korea’s SOEs sector policies and share views on key SOEs policy issues among OECD member countries. This year, the event was attended by Ambassador Sangdae Choi of the Korean Delegation to the OECD, Junho Park, Director General of Public Institutions Policy Bureau at the MOEF, and Carmine Di Noia, Director for Financial and Enterprise Affairs of the OECD as well as more than 100 SOEs policy officials from 38 countries and international organizations, who discussed the OECD Guidelines on Corporate Governance of SOEs (the Guidelines), SOEs transparency and disclosure system, and SOE performance management and evaluation framework.
In his congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Choi welcomed the completion of the revision of the Guidelines and the publication of the Korean translation, noting that the new chapter on ‘SOEs and Sustainability’ will enable the Guidelines to play a greater role as a global standard.
